DS18’s Drivers are known for reaching EXTREME volumes without sacrificing on their efficiency and sensitivity! The D225PY takes these values to their MAX through the integration of a 2.5” Polyimide Voice Coil!
Polyimide Voice Coils allow your speakers to maintain higher levels of power without the fear of distortion and overheating. Powered by a ferrite motor, you can expect the D225PY to reach ear piercing high range frequencies.

I have a 2014 Silverado crew cab & I’ve swapped all my door speakers to the DS18 brand, along with upgrading my tweeters & adding two extra 6.5’s & converting my 6x9’s in the front to 6.5’s also. I currently have a JL JD400/4 powering all my speakers, & my highs sound amazing even at a good distance away, but up next is definitely a DS18 amp to properly complement my setup! I got the EXL-SQ 6.5 in the front and EXL-SQ 6.9 in the rear with 2 10" subs hooked up with a Gen X 5 ch amp powering them up and I must say its not only loud, the sound quality was amazing for the price!

Put 7 of these in the back of my Miata. They sound good considering how cheap they are. Highly recommend for a budget sub. The price should be at least $15k each not $10k.
