Incredible!!

These were used in a fairly non-typical use for this class of speaker, but the worked out unbelievably well. I had two sets of stereo speakers that were very bass heavy and lacked midrange & treble. I installed 2 of these in one set and crossed them over at 900hz in conjunction with an L-Pad. The result was nothing short of astounding. I'm hearing details in music I've never heard before. For example, if you remember Otis Redding's song "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay", I never heard the water in the background of the song. The details in the music just pop with the L-Pad set to the middle. The speakers turned out so well, I did the same to another pair of different speakers and crossed them over at 600hz. I.m so delighted with them that I'm going to do the same with them.

So are they efficient? Here's an example of what I impress friends with. The first set of speakers I did was a pair of Klipsch bookshelf speakers with an SPL of 96 or 96 db. Then I plug one into a cheap 1970's Panasonic 6 transistor radio that runs on 2 AA batteries. That little junker of a radio fills the room with decent quality room filling sound, and the L-Pads are still at half way. You may think this is BS, but it's 100% fact. I didn't believe it would work out this way, but it did. I'm totally amazed with these drivers!
