I am very happy with the NXL 6.5s. I have seen people running DS18 speakers and thought I would give them a try because they cost way less than the other options. I’m giving them 100wrms and they handle it with no problems and sound very clean and clear! I will be buying more soon.
Had one of their speakers in my Polaris Rzr when I purchased it. Started having trouble with the controller and contacted the customer service since I didn’t see just the controller in the online store. Aaron reached back out to me the next day to say they had it in stock and with the cost all set up ready for purchase. I payed for it and had within a week. Great experience and would buy from them again. Not sure how old my amplified speaker is but has held up great also and sound quality is good also, even while running the dunes at 60mph.

Been running this amp on 2 6.5 subs run at 1ohm, which take 400watts rms. The amp drives them at full efficiency with no problem. Amp stays cool and the clip light makes it easy to set gains. I actually have to turn the amp gain done a bit as it drives them a bit too hard. I switched out and put my DS18 10’ sub on it which is in a tuned box to 40hz ran at 2ohms and wow that sub moves now.
Sound okay
I bought a couple of these because my powered sub was drowning out my 6x9's and my 5.25 door speakers. They did not disappoint, brought enough midrange and mid-bass to balance the sound.
I do think however, that I can get more from them. My current amp is sending about 110W RMS, and I'm using the high pass filter. I probably should call DS18 and ask for some advice. Maybe I just need more power, or set the crossover differently, or maybe my hearing is going bad, idk. But they do sound fantastic, and my sub no longer overpowers the mids and highs.
I haven’t put them in yet but they look good packaged good and came in 5 days
