Before putting my system together i watched countless hours of subwoofer reviews and read an obsurd amount of articles. I was on a budget when i went to my local wholesaler who I'd been buying car audio parts from for quite a while. He suggested these zxi12.2d subs. I wasnt sold tho, i went home looked em up and found mixed reviews. The following weekend i went back to store. Dude told me he would give me a deal on 2 of them in a matched ported ported box. I figured I'd give it a try. I hooked these bad boys up to a 2ohm 3k mono amp and was more than pleasantly surprised by how far the lows were hitting, how loud it was for just 2 12"s in a Yukon at that. The power rating seems vastly underrated as others have mentioned, i feel like i put these 2 12s on a 5k or 8k amp to really see them at full potential. Im at 3/4 max power on my amp cant turn it up anymore due to distore from the amp, not clipping on the subs. If anyone has tested these to full clipping and knows the max power they can take constitently in an everyday driver lmk pls. These guys are underrated in the bass head world. Im currently using their zxi 6.5 components on a amp as well for clear and of course loud mids and highs. Thx for the quality products.

This is hands down the best sounding subwoofer I've ever heard. The bass is absolutely crispy! This bad boy hits low and hard as a mother!! I can't believe how much pressure this thing creates. I have the ZXI 2d wired to 1 ohm running on a jp23 amp in a 2 cube box tuned to 32 hrz. The amp Roughly pushes 3000 watts peak to this sub. I swear I seen the sub yawn lol. This thing takes what you give it. Again, cleanest sounding sub I've heard. Hits with lethal authority!! Love love love it
Works great just what I was looking for
Had this sub for a couple days, very happy and satisfied with my purchase. Love the specs, the look and the thick surround. Picked it specially based on the frequency range. Built my own box tuned to about 28Hz and it dips! Was previously running an 18” and it feels deeper.

I bought these for a pair of Custom Speaker Pods for my '05 Dodge Ram 1500. They fit the pods perfectly. I put a 0.06 mH inductor on mine to match the 4 uF capacitor that came with the CT Sounds MESO tweeter that also fit in the pods. This effectively gave me a 10,000Hz 1st Order crossover and they surprisingly work really well together. 5 stars for sound, value, and great looks.

Mixed emotionsI have 10 of them in my Slingshot. Eight of them sounds amazing to them are not working. I have a replaced one two times but I love the sound on the ones that’ll work.
