Para minimizar los daños eléctricos a su amplificador y a los componentes que alimenta, los amplificadores DS18 utilizan un estado de apagado conocido como Modo de Protección.
Esto puede deberse a:
- Una instalación incorrecta puede provocar fluctuaciones inesperadas de potencia.
- sobrecarga causada por una adaptación inadecuada de las cargas de impedancia
- sobrecalentamiento causado por uso excesivo
- eliminación gradual
- un amplificador defectuoso internamente o averiado
Solucionar este problema puede resultar muy complicado para algunos nuevos usuarios de LOUD . Así que, si buscas cómo controlarlo, empecemos por aquí:
¿Cuándo entró su amplificador en modo de protección?
¡Presta mucha atención a cuándo tu amplificador entra en Modo de Protección!
Si tu amplificador entra en modo de protección nada más encenderlo, podría ser señal de que el problema está en la instalación. Esto podría deberse a la posición y ubicación del amplificador o a una mala conexión de los cables de alimentación y tierra.
Si su amplificador entra en modo de protección en medio de un recorrido por el campo, es posible que no esté conectado correctamente a su sistema.
Si tu amplificador entra en modo de protección tras una sesión de escucha intensa, es posible que se esté sobrecalentando. Para evitarlo, colócalo en un lugar con buena ventilación. Si esto no funciona, prueba a instalar un ventilador para mejorar el flujo de aire.
Soluciones sencillas
Si al reiniciar el encendido el amplificador no sale del modo de protección, es posible que haya que revisar el sistema. Para determinar la causa del modo de protección, es necesario volver a lo básico: desconectar el amplificador del sistema y sus componentes para comprobar si el problema persiste.
Si has desconectado los cables de los altavoces del amplificador en los terminales y este sigue en modo de protección, el problema podría estar en la instalación, concretamente en los conectores RCA de alimentación o de tierra. Esto puede deberse a varias causas, pero suele ocurrir cuando el cable de alimentación o el de los altavoces del amplificador entran en contacto con metal desnudo. Para solucionarlo, desconecta los conectores RCA, comprueba que todas las conexiones estén bien ajustadas y sin cables deshilachados, y luego reinicia el contacto.
Si el amplificador se enciende sin los cables RCA conectados, existe un cortocircuito en la señal proveniente de la unidad fuente o internamente en el amplificador. Esto requiere realizar pruebas con cada fuente (radio, Bluetooth, etc.) para determinar el origen del problema. Asegúrese de limpiar y ajustar las conexiones o, si es necesario, cambie la ubicación del amplificador.
Si los cables RCA están desconectados y el amplificador sigue entrando en Modo de Protección, vuelva a conectarlos y desconecte los cables de los altavoces. A continuación, puede reiniciar el encendido. Si el amplificador sale del Modo de Protección una vez desconectados los cables de los altavoces, existe un cortocircuito en los altavoces o un cable desgastado debido a la instalación.
Si reinicias el encendido con los cables RCA y de los altavoces desconectados y el amplificador sigue en modo de protección, significa que el amplificador tiene un cortocircuito interno y debe ser reparado o reemplazado si cumple con los requisitos.

I installed the DS 18 Hydro NXL N4 in my boat to replace existing amp with a Fusion head unit. Now I can’t pick up local stations. All wires and antenna cable are installed correctly. With old amp everything worked like it should. Any suggestions? Thanks Randy

Hello I so need help and I can Figure it out. Starter I have 14 harley street glide special. I have a soundstream 14+. Your icon 1600 x4 .2 6.5 with Separate tweeters. 2 6×9 with separate tweeters.. if I run with the rca cables I can Adjust the gain to where I need it. But there is Noise coming from the speakers. Called Volunteer audio where i got the radio from. They told not Recommend to use rca because amp I’m using will make a lot of noise . Something about the ground in the amp. They told me to use the hi output To get rid of the noise. And that works . But now I’m not getting alot of power from the amp. I can turn the gain up. But after about Quarter turn that it. I can keep on turning the gain up but doesn’t make no difference. Get more power to the front speakers but very little power to the back speakers.

I bought a ds18 1200.1 amplifier to power a 10in subwoofer. It worked great for a week then noticed it wasn’t working at all. I found there was an issue with the ground cable. Cleaned the ground bolt and connection then the amp got super hot and went into protect mode. I’ve checked all connections and the amp continues to get very hot and not operate. Please help!
