Im a big fan of the ds18 brand and speakers. I’ve been using there products for 2 years now and have never had problems in the past. I just recently ordered a couple of these speakers in 2 separate orders for a speaker rack I’m going to be making soon. On the first order i received, I inspected the speakers and found that one had scuffs and damage around the shell of the speaker like if it was dropped. I contacted support and they exchanged it for me. On my second order I received I inspected also and found that one of the dust caps had been dented. I again contacted support and it was exchanged but this time when I opened the packaging box it looked like it had been opened and the dust cap had some indents. It wasn’t noticeable and the speaker probably still works just fine and I’m not going to make it anymore of a big deal since it isn’t noticeable apart from when looking at it up close and sliding your finger across but the point that I’m trying to make is that if I’m going to be spending so much money on the product I want it to be brand new and damage less. Both times I got the exchange I had to pay to send it back to them which is also inconvenient since it isn’t my fault they were damaged. I still love the brand I just wish my hard earned money wasn’t being wasted on damage products.

Excellent head unit for tuners. I love that this entire unit can be controlled, adjusted, and fine tuned all from the the app on your phone. With 48 bands to adjust and the ability to turn of ch 1-2 / ch 3-4 / ch 4-5/ and sub of with push of a button when tuning is a game changer. Such a great innovative design!
With that said the first one I received was bad outta the box ( internal issue) no display & no sound output from head unit , warranty was kinda tricky, but it was handled and I received credit and replacement in a week.
This new dsp (i48dsp) is amazing, it has settings for virtually everything adjustable thru your phone on the fly, and now i can crank it up way higher than before this dsp install, if you're thinking about a dsp, get this one.

I bought a set from a local shop and 5 stars are not enough. They are cleaner and louder than the alpine type r's they replaced. They sound better than the focal as 165s I've had before and are MUCH cheaper. If you are thinking about new midrange/midbass, these are the ones

I bought these along with the 24+ Harley lid kits. Speakers are fantastic. You’re not going to find a speaker with this clarity and volume for less than twice the price.
Working as described, have the amplifier gain set to half to power the ds-18 jeep soundbar and dash speakers. Much happier now since it is all amplified.
